These outputs apply at -25 °C and with a free flow of air. The heater element regulates power output depending on the ambient temperature and airflow through the fan. The cabin heater has a thermostatic shut-off that cuts the power to the heater element and the fan motor should the temperature exceed the permitted limit. The thermostatic shut-off will trip if air circula- tion is insufficient, such as if the intake or outlet grille is covered. The fan will cease to operate if the shut- off trips. Cabin heater K2: To reset the thermostatic shut-off: 1 Unplug the heater. Allow the heater to cool. 2 Depress the black button located in the heater's outlet grille. You should hear a distinct click. Cabin heater K3: The thermostatic shut-off cannot be reset but must be replaced. Contact your reseller. WARNING Tools must not be used as they can damage the heater element or the thermal circuit breaker. This can cause a short circuit and a fire.
