2. 2 51 73 919 Saab 900 M94-, Saab 9-3 M98-, 4-cyl, LHD Safety regulations • Assembly of the heater should be performed by qualified staff and in accordance with the assem- bly instructions. • The heater should never be used in an enclosed space, like the garage or workshop, without the exhaust ventilation being used. • At petrol stations or corresponding establish- ments the heater should always be turned off. Additions to basic kit The basic kit 400 127 130 for 900 and the basic kit 400 127 155 for 9-3 should always be supplemented with additional kits for the car model in question: WARNING Read through the entire fitting instructions before beginning work. Work when installing the heater involves interfe- rence with the fuel system. Please observe the fol- lowing points in connection with assembly: • Provide good ventilation. If approved extrac- tors for fuel fumes are available, then they should be used. • Wear protective gloves. Prolonged contact with petrol can cause skin irritation. • Always have a fire extinguisher class BE avai- lable. Be aware of the risk for sparks e.g. in connection with the breaking of electrical circu- its, short circuits, etc. • Smoking is prohibited. Important When joining fuel lines in this kit, make sure the ends are properly attached. Important When the heater is used as a parking heater, it consumes a part of the battery capacity. This occurs especially when it is cold and the battery is already heavily exerted. We therefore recommend that the car is driven the same length of time as the heater was in operation when the surrounding temperature is less then -20°. When the surroun- ding temperature is lower, we recommend that the heater is not used for periods longer than 30 minu- tes. In addition, the battery should be regularly checked and charged when necessary. The heater should be activated at least once a month, even during the summer. This prevents remaining fuel from evaporating and leaving depo- sits which can cause breakdowns.
